Taimei Kon-ichi
A rich, bitter flavor that goes beyond seaweed
perfect with cheese, wine, or even sweets
perfect with cheese, wine, or even sweets
This nori is harvested at the mouth of the Kikuchi River in Kumamoto Prefecture, whose pristine headwaters are recognized among Japan’s finest. We’ve been fortunate to obtain a rare “Kon” (green mixed grade) nori—one of the most coveted varieties.
The vibrant green nori delivers a bold, distinctive flavor with a crisp, snappy texture that makes an immediate impression. This year’s harvest is especially notable for its delicate mouthfeel and rich umami, with a pleasantly bitter aftertaste that lingers on the palate—truly addictive. Aomaze nori from this season offers a one-of-a-kind expression that can only be enjoyed this year.
We hope you’ll savor the unique taste of this exceptional green blend.
